Catch the Witch Privacy Policy

What we collect
- An anonymous user ID created when you open the app. There is no sign up and no email or phone number.
- The nickname you type, and what you do in a game room (places picked at night, ingredient cards played, votes). Each player can only see what the rules show them.
- Whether you bought Remove Ads or the Expansion (in-app purchases). Payment is handled by Google Play; we never see your card. RevenueCat keeps the purchase record linked to your anonymous ID so we can check it.
- In the Android app, Google AdMob may collect the advertising ID, device information, approximate location from IP address and app interactions to show and measure ads (see Advertising).
How we use it
To run the game (rooms, secret roles, votes, results), to turn on what you bought (no ads on your phone, Expansion in rooms you host), and to show ads in the free version. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Game rooms expire when they have not been used for 3 hours after the last activity, and are then deleted within a day with their nicknames and game records. Your purchase status is kept as long as you use the app so that your purchases keep working; it is deleted when you ask us.
Where it is stored
Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Authentication) and Vercel host the service. RevenueCat and Google Play keep purchase records. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). A room can be read only by its players, and each secret role only by its own player.
Deleting your data
Room data expires 3 hours after the last activity and is deleted within a day. To delete your purchase status or anything else sooner, email orilabs2026+catchwitch@gmail.com and we will handle it within 30 days. Deleting the app also removes the anonymous ID from your phone.
Advertising
The free Android app shows banner ads, occasional full screen ads between games and sometimes an ad when the app starts, served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device advertising ID and app interaction data to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android settings. See the Google advertising policy. Buying Remove Ads turns off ads on that phone.
In-app purchases
Remove Ads, Expansion and the bundle are one time purchases through Google Play. Refunds follow Google Play policy. If you reinstall the app, use Restore purchases in the Shop with the same Google account.
Cookies and local storage
The website and the app store a few small values on your device (browser local storage and the sign in storage used by Firebase Authentication): your anonymous user ID, the nickname you last typed, your language choice, sound and display settings, which tips and the opening story you have already seen, the room you are playing in so you can return to it, a game count for the review request and your purchase status. They keep the game working on your device and are not used for tracking. We do not use analytics cookies.
Advertising on the website (Google AdSense)
The website may show ads served by Google AdSense at the bottom of the how to play and rulebook pages, never in game rooms and never inside the app. When it does, Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, and to measure them. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at this Google page.
Children
Catch the Witch is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

수집하는 정보
- 앱을 열 때 만들어지는 익명 사용자 ID(가입 없음, 이메일·전화번호 없음)
- 입력한 닉네임과 게임 방에서 한 행동(밤에 고른 장소, 낸 재료 카드, 투표). 각자는 규칙이 보여 주는 것만 볼 수 있습니다.
- 광고 제거·확장판 구매 여부(인앱 구매). 결제는 Google Play 가 처리하며 카드 정보는 받지 않습니다. RevenueCat 이 구매 기록을 익명 ID 에 연결해 보관하고 우리는 그 기록으로 확인합니다.
- 안드로이드 앱에서 Google AdMob 은 광고 표시·측정을 위해 광고 ID, 기기 정보, IP 로 추정한 대략적 위치, 앱 사용 정보를 수집할 수 있습니다(아래 「광고」).
이용 목적
게임 진행(방·비밀 역할·투표·결과), 산 것 켜기(내 폰 광고 끄기, 내가 방장인 방의 확장판), 무료판 광고 표시에만 씁니다. 개인정보를 판매하지 않습니다.
보관 기간
게임 방은 마지막 활동 뒤 3시간 동안 쓰이지 않으면 만료되고, 하루 안에 닉네임·게임 기록과 함께 삭제됩니다. 구매 여부는 산 것이 계속 작동하도록 앱을 쓰는 동안 보관하고, 요청하시면 삭제합니다.
보관 위치
Google Firebase(Cloud Firestore, Authentication)와 Vercel 에서 운영하며, 구매 기록은 RevenueCat 과 Google Play 가 보관합니다. 전송 중 데이터는 암호화(HTTPS)됩니다. 방은 그 방 참가자만, 비밀 역할은 본인만 볼 수 있습니다.
삭제 요청
방 정보는 마지막 활동 뒤 3시간 동안 쓰이지 않으면 만료되어 하루 안에 자동 삭제됩니다. 구매 여부 등을 더 빨리 지우려면 orilabs2026+catchwitch@gmail.com 로 알려 주시면 30일 안에 처리합니다. 앱을 지우면 폰에 있던 익명 ID 도 사라집니다.
광고
무료 안드로이드 앱에는 Google AdMob 배너 광고, 판 사이에 가끔 나오는 전면 광고, 앱을 켤 때 가끔 나오는 광고가 표시됩니다. AdMob 은 광고 표시·측정·부정 사용 방지를 위해 기기의 광고 ID 와 앱 사용 정보를 이용할 수 있습니다. 광고 ID 는 안드로이드 설정에서 재설정하거나 삭제할 수 있습니다. 자세한 내용은 Google 광고 정책을 참고하세요. 광고 제거를 사면 그 폰에서는 광고가 나오지 않습니다.
인앱 구매
광고 제거·확장판·묶음은 Google Play 1회성 구매입니다. 환불은 Google Play 정책을 따릅니다. 앱을 다시 설치했다면 같은 구글 계정으로 상점의 「구매 복원」을 눌러 주세요.
쿠키와 브라우저 저장소
웹사이트와 앱은 기기 저장소(브라우저 로컬 저장소와 Firebase Authentication 로그인 저장소)에 익명 사용자 ID, 마지막으로 입력한 닉네임, 고른 언어, 소리·화면 설정, 이미 본 도움말과 오프닝 이야기, 다시 돌아갈 진행 중인 방, 별점 요청용 판 수, 구매 여부만 저장합니다. 이 기기에서 게임이 이어지게 하려는 것이며 추적에 쓰지 않습니다. 분석용 쿠키는 쓰지 않습니다.
웹사이트 광고(Google AdSense)
웹사이트의 게임 방법·규칙서 페이지 맨 아래에 Google AdSense 광고가 표시될 수 있습니다. 게임 방과 앱 안에는 표시하지 않습니다. 이 경우 Google과 파트너는 쿠키를 사용해 이 사이트와 다른 사이트 방문 기록을 바탕으로 광고를 표시하고 측정합니다. 맞춤 광고는 Google 광고 설정에서 끌 수 있고, Google이 파트너 사이트의 정보를 사용하는 방식은 Google 안내 페이지에서 볼 수 있습니다.
아동
마녀잡기는 만 13세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 아동의 개인정보를 알면서 수집하지 않습니다.
